About the Book
A Sip Of Love
A Sip of Love is an invitation to pause long enough to notice the quiet beauty that so often escapes us. Within these pages, each poem is offered as a gentle sip not to satisfy the soul all at once, but to awaken it, one reflection at a time.
Inspired by the mysteries of nature, Shirley Pourbaba writes from her own lived experiences, quiet observations, and intuitive awareness. She believes that creativity begins in deep listening, where the heart becomes a receptive vessel through which inspiration is received from the Divine. Her poetry does not seek to explain life’s mysteries, but to honor them, trusting that the soul often recognizes truth long before the mind can give it a name.
Love, longing, joy, grief, forgiveness, hope, and transformation flow through this collection like the changing seasons. Rivers become teachers. Trees become witnesses. The wind carries forgotten prayers. Light becomes a messenger. Every landscape reflects the landscape within, gently reminding us that we are not separate from nature we are part of it.
- These poems are offered with an open heart.
- They invite you to pause.
- To wonder.
- To listen more deeply.
- To embrace the mysteries that surround us.
To recognize the quiet presence of the Divine in nature, in one another, and within yourself.
May these pages gently invite you to flirt with the Divine that already lives within you, becoming a quiet companion whenever your heart longs for beauty, hope, and the whisper that awakens your forgotten true self.
Thank you for sharing a sip with me.
